US Secretary of State Blinken said in a TV interview that the US is discussing with Europe to ban Russian oil imports, while the U.K. would support the Group of Seven nations setting limits on the amount of Russian oil and gas its members could import, in terms of reducing the impact on the economy. In order to ensure stable global supply, the "Wall Street Journal" quoted sources as saying that the United States seeks to ease sanctions on Venezuela, and officials from the two sides have held talks over the past weekend. Venezuela's oil production can reach as high as 1.2 million barrels per day. But Libyan militants shut down two important oil fields, reducing Libya's output by 330,000 barrels a day. Worrying the Iran nuclear deal could not be reached in the short term, oil prices spur to a 14-year high. Goldman Sachs expects oil prices to exceed $150 a barrel. China seeks to speed up its energy transition.
